MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – June 2, 2009 – Quova, Inc., the leading provider of Internet geolocation data and services, today announced it has appointed Tim Krozek as Chief Revenue Officer. Krozek will lead Quova’s global sales organization, bringing more than 15 years of Internet marketing, enterprise technology and ecommerce leadership experience to the IP geolocation provider.

Prior to Quova, Krozek was Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development at Efficient Frontier, leading client acquisition efforts and advising on search-marketing strategies. Krozek oversaw Efficient Frontier’s growth in the US, UK and European regions and led the establishment of the company’s presence in Asia. During his time with the company, Krozek helped Efficient Frontier become the largest search engine-marketing (SEM) firm, managing over $750 million in paid search spend from hundreds of companies including: Bankrate, Expedia, Intuit, Lending Tree, Microsoft, Nordstrom, Orbitz, Quickenloans and Wells Fargo.

“Quova is a natural next step for me. With my years of experience in performance marketing optimization, I have seen firsthand the value of the quality of the underlying data,” said Tim Krozek, Chief Revenue Office of Quova. “Optimization algorithms are only as valuable as the data from which they pull. They are dependent on the quality data to be effective. For decades companies have used location to target and optimize messaging and advertising based on their knowledge of the actual location of the customers they are targeting; the location knowledge Quova provides enables this activity to become reality in the online world.”

Krozek was previously Sales Director at Yahoo!, responsible for strategic sales relationships with companies such as Oracle, HP and Intel. He has also held various sales and marketing positions at AOL and Netscape Communications, in addition to numerous start-ups. Krozek has a BA in Economics from UC Santa Barbara and a MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School.

“Tim has a talent for understanding how companies should optimize their marketing dollars on the Internet. His level of expertise continues to build on Quova’s position as the global resource on IP Geolocation,” said Marie Alexander, president and CEO of Quova. “Real returns – whether in marketing, fraud or compliance require more than just a data download. Tim will bring a wealth of expertise that will benefit our customers and prospects.”

Quova provides IP geolocation services to more than 300 organizations, including banks, government agencies, e-retailers and online casinos. Customers include BBC, Fox Interactive Media, Lending Tree, MLB.com, MSN and Orbitz, as well as three of the top four search engines, powering 95% of all search-advertising results.
